Head of Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner

Rowberry Morris is looking for a Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Conveyancer to join our Reading office or Staines office. This is a senior appointment that carries clear career and early partnership prospects. The salary and bonus arrangements are commensurate with the role. 

Skills/Experience 

  • Qualified fee earner with significant experience in residential property; 
  • Manage a varied caseload of residential property transaction from inception to registration 
  • Experience of dealing with freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfer of equity.  
  • Ability to prioritise work, function efficiently under pressure and remain calm and professional 
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and produce accurate work 
  • Manage a small team and delegate work appropriately 
  • Manage client expectations and deliver exceptional Customer Service 
  • Enthusiasm and a positive “can do” attitude, with a willingness to continued learning and development    

Duties include: 

  • Acting as Head of Residential Property department and managing junior members of the team 
  • Preparing and finalising contract packs 
  • Ordering searches and reviewing the results 
  • Preparing reports on title 
  • Progressing cases from exchange to completion including all associated administration 
  • Dealing with the post completion aspects of transactions 
  • Responding and dealing with Land Registry enquiries 
  • Undertaking file reviews

Legal PA / Secretary / Paralegal

Rowberry Morris is looking for an experienced Legal PA / Secretary / Paralegal to join our team in Tadley. Full training will be given in relation to our practices, procedures and systems.

Skills/Experience

  • Experienced legal secretary, full or part time considered.
  • Ability to prioritise work, function efficiently under pressure and remain calm and professional.
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and produce accurate work.
  • Ability and desire to deliver exceptional Customer Service.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive “can do” attitude.

Duties include:

  • Taking and accurately recording client calls.
  • Taking new client enquiries.
  • Conflict, ID and AML checks.
  • Opening new files.
  • Audio typing (Philips dictation, SOS case and accounts management).
  • Monthly billing.
  • Liaising with team to manage enquiries and workflow to ensure comprehensive service to clients.

Helpful to have:

  • Knowledge of SOS, Office 365 and Excel.
  • excel and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Familiarity contentious and non-contentious work types.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of team.
