Experienced Commercial Property Solicitor – Tadley, Reading or Staines

Rowberry Morris is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor 6 Years+ PQE to join our Tadley office and head up the Commercial Property Team in Tadley.

This is a senior appointment with clear career and early partnership prospects for the right person. The salary and bonus arrangements commensurate with the role and experience.

Our Tadley office is well established, situated in the centre of the town with carparking at the rear. It has a loyal and consistent client following and is well-regarded in the community. We sponsor local events and charities and participate in and support local organisations. It is a small friendly office and its long serving staff are testament to the fact that it offers a very pleasant working environment and a good work life balance.

The role would suit either full time office presence or hybrid working depending upon preference.

Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to manage own caseload
  • Qualified fee earner with significant experience in Commercial property
  • Track record of developing and maintaining client relationships and willingness to engage with the wider community to develop business contacts and business relationships
  • Ability to prioritise work, function efficiently under pressure and remain calm and professional
  • Enthusiasm and a positive “can do” attitude, with a willingness to continue learning and development
  • Ability to manage client expectations and deliver exceptional Customer Service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Family Solicitor - Reading Office

Rowberry Morris is looking for a solicitor with 2 Years PQE + to join our Reading Office and work in our Family / Matrimonial department. We are looking for a candidate with empathy and enthusiasm.

The successful candidate will have experience of all aspects of Family Law with expertise in financial and children matters. Panel Membership preferred but not essential.

All candidates should be local to our Reading office or within a 30-minute commute for face-to-face meetings with clients and attendance at court.

Role requirements:

  • Interest and experience in court advocacy
  • Preparation and conduct of cases efficiently in accordance with the firm’s policies
  • Development of caseload and development of the department

Care Solicitor - Reading Office

Rowberry Morris are looking for a solicitor 3 Years PQE + / CILEX / barrister to join our Reading Office to work with our Child Care department. We are looking for a candidate with empathy and enthusiasm.

The successful candidate will have experience in acting for Parents involved in Care Proceedings and attending PLO meetings. Membership of or willingness and suitability to apply to join the Children Panel an advantage. Candidates on the Children’s Panel an advantage.

All candidates must be local to our Reading office or within 30 minutes of travel to enable face-to-face meetings with clients in the office and attendance at court when required.

Private Client Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive – Tadley Office

Rowberry Morris is recruiting a Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive 2 Years PQE+ to join our Tadley Office to work in our busy Private Client department. We are looking for an ambitious candidate seeking an opportunity with excellent career progression.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate hand-on experience across the full range of private client work and be confident in providing quality advice to clients in a professional and personable manner, with drive to build professional connections to support the Department in Business Development.

All candidates must be local to our Tadley office or within 30 minutes of travel to enable face-to-face meetings with clients in the office and with business connections when required.

This role will involve:

  • Will drafting including not only the advising on and completing of straight forward Wills, but also those including Trusts (IPDI, Vulnerable Beneficiary and Discretionary Trusts) and advising on the tax implications of the same.
  • Estate administration from start to finish, including intestate estates, and dealing with all Inheritance Tax, income tax and capital gains tax issues arising during the administration.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Court of Protection work.
  • Elderly Client matters.
  • Capacity Issues.
  • Tax planning.
  • Trust administration.
  • Business Development.
  • Building strategic connections with other professionals including accountants, financial advisers and care agencies to provide holistic advice for the client.

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to process a large independent caseload effectively whilst sustaining a very high level of attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships with both existing and new clients and with professional connections.
  • A proven financial record and commercial attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good technical experience in wills, trusts probate and general tax advice.
  • A willingness to support the Department in Business Development.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of a case management system.
  • Conducting cases efficiently in accordance with the firm’s policies.
  • Compliance with Money Laundering procedures and GDPR.

Salary commensurate with experience. Part-time or flexible hours will be considered.
