At Rowberry Morris we have one of the most highly regarded child care departments, which has been involved in a number of cases which have led to a change in the law and been reported in both the media and specialist law reports.

Rowberry Morris remains one of the few firms that is allowed to offer public funding (formerly known as legal aid) due to our high standards in this field. This service, contrary to popular belief, provides a high level of excellence. Whilst we can only undertake work that is permitted by the Legal Services Commission when operating under a public funding certificate, we do our best to identify essential work and ensure that this is carried out.

We further recognise that our clients require from their solicitors local knowledge regarding Court timetabling together with knowledge of the availability of other services for example, mediation, counselling, contact centres etc. To this end, we maintain regular links with the Courts and other service providers.

We discuss at the outset each client’s requirements. We seek to arrive at a mutually acceptable financial arrangement to avoid our clients having to worry about excessive legal bills. We seek to discuss plans at various stages, for which we offer cost estimates which are then translated into interim bills before agreeing any further steps to be taken. This enables clients who are involved in an emotional and stressful process to avoid additional stress by having to worry about the costs of litigation.

Within our family departments across our three offices we deal with all aspects of family law, including divorce, matrimonial finances, civil partnership dissolution, injunctions, cohabitation and separation agreements and disputes concerning children. Our solicitors all deal exclusively with family law, which means they are experts in the field.

We are also able to offer Collaborative Law, which is a forward-thinking way of resolving disputes first pioneered in the United States whereby both parties agree from the outset that neither will issue Court proceedings against the other and will try to achieve a resolution of matters through face-to-face meetings with their legal representatives.
