Richard Leathem, Partner e-mail // richard.leathem@rowberrymorris.co.uk

Richard is a partner with in depth experience over 25 years. He is a member of a Law Society Specialist Panel and holds two appointments by the Lord Chancellor enabling him to understand litigation from each perspective. He has an exceptional track record in winning court cases but believes in avoiding the courts where possible – hence his membership of Middlesex and Thames Valley Mediators.

Twice President of the Reading & Berkshire Solicitors Association, 20 years with Lions Clubs International and a similar period of free service to the Citizens Advice Bureau demonstrate Richard’s belief in helping others. So when he says we tailor our charges to suit the client, you can believe it.

Richard enjoys fighting and winning the most difficult of cases. He has acted for clients as diverse as serial killers, Peers of the Realm, PLC’s, IRA, International Insurers, battered women, Pop Stars, paraplegics and severely injured children. Out of court, he enjoys singing with his quartet, making after dinner speeches and international hosting.

Alan Harris
Alan Harris, Solicitor e-mail // alan.harris@rowberrymorris.co.uk

Alan Harris joined Rowberry Morris in March 2006. Alan qualified in 1997 and specialises in Personal Injury work, mainly on behalf of Claimants. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Alan has strong links with the Reading area, having worked here since qualification. He is also a part-time member of the Parole Board of England and Wales, sitting on panels in London on a regular basis.

In his spare time he is a competitive amateur triathlete. Last year he qualified for and competed in the Ford World Ironman Championships in Florida, finishing half way down a high quality field.

Ian Beavon, Legal Executive e-mail // ian.beavon@rowberrymorris.co.uk

Ian graduated from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1989 having gained a degree in modern languages. He then gained experience working in an insurance environment, initially in an underwriting capacity and then progressed to handling liability claims. Ian subsequently qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2002 and is now proceeding to qualify as a solicitor. Ian joined Rowberry Morris in January 2007 and handles personal injury and clinical negligence claims at all levels.

Out of work, Ian enjoys listening to all types of music. He loves the theatre and presently holds the Rowberry Morris record for having seen Les Miserables a mere 14 times! Ian is a member of the local David Lloyd gym and tries his best to persuade himself that the membership fee is indeed value for money (!). Ian also enjoys travelling and in particular loves Australia and New Zealand which worryingly seems to be just about as far from work as he might go!
