Yes, it is still possible to sell your property. Interest rates are so low that there are lots of enquiries being made.  Need to be sure of your agent and their terms? – ask a solicitor first. If you want a relatively speedy sale then it’s important to hire a reliable solicitor and get a HIP.  The best option is always to take a recommendation from a friend or relative. If, however, you have to go out there and find a Lawyer, its worth telephoning or even popping into their office to get a feel for what they are really like.  BEWARE of hidden charges. One internet firm advertises fees at £139 but their extras add up to nearly £500.  If you telephone take note of how long it takes for the phone to be answered.  If you pop in, how long is it before someone with knowledge comes to see you?  If you’re left hanging on for ages then that firm may be one to avoid!
