DO YOUR FAMILY KNOW WHERE YOUR WILL IS LODGED?
According to a recent survey, 67% of people in the UK do not know where to find their parents’ Wills. This means that although solicitors’ firms hold records and a copy of the Will, the deceased’s family may never know about it. Changing circumstances in an individual’s life, including moving to another area, could mean that at the time of their death it is even more difficult to identify their last Will and its location. Financial loss to the beneficiaries can be a direct result of a lost Will but most importantly the deceased’s last wishes may not be carried out properly or at all.
